Founders of Sound Lifestyle Medicine, creators of Base Camp, and Board-Certified Internal Medicine physicians and Diplomats in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
During the combined 20 years that we practiced hospital-based medicine, we noticed an unsettling trend: despite receiving the very best care available, many people returned, again and again, complaining about the same medical issues. The reason? The treatments they received were intended to make their acute symptoms disappear, but didn’t often address the root causes of chronic problems, which often came down to lifestyle.
Recognizing the important role that lifestyle plays in our overall health and wellbeing, we expanded our medical expertise by becoming certified Diplomates in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and founded Sound Lifestyle Medicine, a virtual lifestyle medicine practice that takes a holistic and evidence-based approach to optimizing health and wellness.
